Technology Integration

                                     

 Technology has become a big part of our daily life. We should not limit the area of technology. I think even the pen we use the most is product of technology. Especially in education, we use technology in many areas. Math is one of them. Generally, math is very complex and difficult to understand for the students. At this point, technology makes this complex situation to more understandable for students. That is, Mathematics especially geometry, requires the 3D thinking, special visualization or drawing. To be able to do these types of requirements, students needs to time but unfortunately time that is given is limited. Therefore, thanks to technological tools like computer and programs on the internet both students can understand and see the figures and gain times. Not just the programs, but everything from the calculator to smart board are the facilitator of technology for the math.

   Especially in the last 20 years technology has made very rapid progress. Therefore, it is not easy to use it in every class for some teacher. They were not able to receive such technological training when they were students. These teachers who want to catch up the speed of technology can find a solution by taking the necessary training about the technology integration. However, I think, no teacher have to use it in their class if they can do the necessary teaching without technology.

   When I think how to be a teacher or how I want to be a teacher, it's not entirely technology-dependent, but where it's needed, I will use the resources that technology provides us especially the visual possibilities like sketchpad. Also, I realized the importance of technology when I write this paper. For example, I benefit from the it to write this paper or I use the dictionary on the internet or I look at the clock on my phone or used the books. I mean, we are in a period where we need a lot of technology, even in just 5 minutes, and it seems to be increasingly necessary so I think we should try to adapt it in our life and benefit from the technology more.
